How long have you been breeding Chihuahua's?

I have been breeding for 5 years now.

Why did you choose to breed these dogs?

I fell in love with them when my sister first bought a Chihuahua boy about 6 years ago. I could not resist them.

What is your opinion on backyard breeders?

Backyard breeders don't care about their dogs. They only breed and try to make money.

What do you think is a responsible breeder?

A responsible breeder is a breeder that try to breed the best healthy pups. They will go days without getting enough sleep. They will try everything in their power to save a little pup’s life. A breeder that live for their dogs! And never giving up until they have reached their dream.

How do you raise your puppies?

I raise my puppies with all the love I can give them. I protect them and give them lots of attention. They only deserve to be treated with love and care.

Do you have a funny story about your Chihuahuas?

Yes, every Chihuahua is unique in their own way. I had a mom once that wouldn't let me near her pups. She stood up and bit me on my foot and barked like crazy with her tail wagging.

What is your favorite part of breeding?

The day when my bitches is in labour. I cant wait to see the pups. It is always a lucky packet. You don't know how many there are or what the colours might be.

What is your advice for anyone interested in purchasing a Chihuahua?

If you want to purchase a Chihuahua pup, you must first ask yourself some questions. Do you have time for a dog? Do you have enough love to give them, and are you willing to give it your everything. You cant swop a dog or just give it back if you are through playing with them. They will be part of you for the next 10 to 15 years. You must be committed to them.

What myths are connected to Chihuahuas?(like pocket size Yorkies etc...)

I don't believe in the word “Teacup”. You cant breed with something like a “Teacup”. You can only breed with healthy dogs in good condition. Don't look at the size of a dog, look at the attitude and personality. Rather buy a bit bigger doggie and get a healthy little dog. Sometimes there are a smaller puppies in a litter, and some might consider them to be “Teacups”,  but actually it is the “runts” of the litter. You only get smooth coat, long coat, apple head and deer head Chihuahuas. That is the only difference between them.

Where did your love for dogs came from?

Since I was a child, I always loved animals. But there is just that special something in a Chihuahua. The eyes are talking to you. They are not like any other dog. They  are unique!!

Any last thoughts?

If you want a friend for the rest of your life, one that will be true and loyal, get yourself a Chihuahua!
