Size : Males stand around 33 - 38 cm and weighs around 22 kg, females stand around 33 cm and weigh around           19 kg

A Basset Hound has a hearty appetite, their grooming is very easy a comb through every now and then will keep his coat nice and shiny. Exercise is necessary, but should be kept at a steady pace.

He has a hearty appetite, which may lead him to put on an inordinate amount of weight, Especially if he can be idle given the opportunity.

As befits a hunting Dog with a big chest, he has a big booming voice, he will alert his Family of intruders immediately, the intruders will also think the dog is much much bigger than  he is.

The Basset Hound is for the family who wants the perfect companion who has a lot of personality, and a great character in the family.
